The brand, whose name is simply a compound of the first letters of Verner Panton's name, was officially established in 2003, five years after the designer's death. Its mission is not to invent new things, but to bring to life those that Panton left behind in his sketches, prototypes and dreams. Verpan thus acts as a bridge between history and the present.

"Would my father like it?", asks Carin Panton von Halem
What makes Verpan truly authentic is Panton's family. Wife Marianne and daughter Carin Panton von Halem. The famous designer's daughter is not only a guest of honour at brand meetings, but an active voice in her father's legacy. She is the one who has the final say and approves every product that is to go back into production.

In the archives, Carin makes sure that new materials (such as modern plastics, LED technology, etc.) do not destroy her father's original intention. Often when making decisions she asks herself, "Would my father like this? “ It is this concept that makes sure that even if you buy a lamp made in 2026, its soul is 100% original and "Pantonian".

A design you can see, hear and feel
Verpan products are not just for the eyes. Panton wanted the design to assault all the senses. Take the Fun collection of luminaires, for example. They are made up of hundreds of hand-cut mother-of-pearl discs, and when you walk past them or open a window, the lamp gently rings out. Such musical instruments in the form of lamps.

The Easy sofa from 1963 is the definition of "lounge" comfort. In it, Panton replaced traditional legs and backs with generous upholstered circles that literally engulf you. It's a piece that works like a modern sculpture in the room, but the moment you settle into it, you'll find it's the most comfortable nook for your morning coffee.

Or the legendary VP Globe - an acrylic sphere that looks like a spaceship. Panton designed it so that the light inside doesn't dazzle, but reflects off the coloured spotlights and creates a specific atmosphere in the room.
