VP Globe pendant lights are among Verner Panton’s most iconic designs from 1969–1970. The transparent spherical form reflects his fascination with new materials as well as his conviction that the light source should never be directly visible. The result is luminaires that appear futuristic while creating exceptionally pleasant ambient light.
The outer shell consists of a clear acrylic sphere enclosing a complex system of reflectors and diffusing elements. The individual metal components are suspended on steel chains, allowing the light to reflect and filter through several layers. This composition ensures soft, indirect illumination without glare, while creating a dynamic interplay of light, colour and reflections.
VP Globe pendant lights become a striking focal point in any space — whether above a dining table, in a living room, entrance hall or hotel setting. They are available in several sizes and material finishes, which combine beautifully together.
