The Moon pendant light in opal is based on Verner Panton’s early design from 1960 and represents one of the purest expressions of his work with light as a form-defining element. The characteristic fan-like arrangement of ten circular lamellae creates a dynamic silhouette that changes depending on the viewing angle, adding visual depth to the space.
In the white version, the lamellae are made of lacquered metal, which reflects and directs the light between the individual layers of the structure. The result is refined, soft and indirect illumination with a subtle interplay of light and shadow. The ceiling canopy is finished in the same material to ensure a visually clean conclusion.
With a diameter of 44.5 cm, the luminaire gains a more substantial presence, making it ideal above a larger dining table, in an open-plan living space or in an entrance hall with higher ceilings. It works beautifully as a dominant standalone piece, but also in compositions of multiple units, where repetition of the form creates rhythm and a visually striking lighting installation.
The Moon pendant light is also available in several additional sizes and finishes.
