The Stools was created in 1960 as part of Charles and Ray Eames' design for the interiors of Rockefeller Center in New York. The solid wood body with a gently concave seat provides a comfortable place to sit and can also serve as a side table. The characteristic profile of the Model A base gives the stool a sculptural expression, making it both a functional accessory and a decorative element in its own right.
