The Wire table lamp is one of Verner Panton’s iconic designs from the early 1970s and represents an experiment with steel wire in its purest form. The open chrome-plated wire construction creates a light and geometrically precise silhouette. Here, light is not merely a functional element but becomes the main protagonist of the space.
The base of the lamp consists of a series of fine concentric steel wire lines that flow seamlessly into an opal hemispherical acrylic shade. An integrated metal reflector directs the light source into the shade, ensuring soft ambient illumination without glare. The contrast between the industrial structure and the softly glowing dome is a defining feature of the entire series.
Thanks to its proportions, the Wire table lamp works beautifully on a sideboard, windowsill, bedside table or desk. It functions both as a striking design object and as subtle accent lighting in a living room or bedroom. It is suitable for private interiors as well as hotel rooms or contemporary office spaces.
The Wire table lamp is available in several additional colour finishes and combines effortlessly with the floor and portable versions from the collection.
