Panton Cubes prove that even a few simple geometric elements can offer almost unlimited scope for the imagination. Verner Panton designed this modular system back in the 1970s, using the individual cubes to create a wide variety of figures and abstract shapes. Vitra is now reviving his playful concept in the form of construction sets that can be used to assemble several distinctive animal figures.
The system consists of cubic frames connected by clips and complemented by coloured panels. The individual parts are made of recycled ABS plastic and can be repeatedly reassembled into new forms.
The set includes all the elements needed to assemble a giraffe, but the resulting form is by no means the only possibility. The individual cubes can be repeatedly taken apart, combined, and reassembled into your own figures or abstract objects according to your imagination.
