The Fun pendant light is one of Verner Panton’s most distinctive designs from the mid-1960s. First introduced in 1964, it remains an iconic example of his experimental and sensory approach to design. Fun is not only a source of light, but also an element of movement, texture and atmosphere.
Its characteristic feature is the chains of mother-of-pearl shell discs suspended on metal rings. These gently filter the light and diffuse it into a soft, warm glow without glare. When moved by natural air flow, they produce a subtle, almost musical sound that enhances the lively character of the piece.
