The Cone Chair ranks among Verner Panton’s most iconic designs and retains its strong, confident silhouette to this day. The cone-shaped form creates a solid architectural base from which a comfortably upholstered shell with backrest and armrests emerges. Compact in appearance, the design nevertheless offers a high level of seating comfort.
Designed in the late 1950s as part of the radically conceived interior of the Kom Igen restaurant, the chair already demonstrated Panton’s ability to combine experimental form with everyday comfort. Today, it functions as a timeless statement piece, adding clear character to an interior without the need for additional bold accents.
The chair body is made from glass fibre reinforced plastic and fully upholstered with polyurethane foam padding. The seat is designed as a separate, replaceable element. Stability is provided by a slender stainless steel cross base, which enhances the lightness of the construction while ensuring structural strength.
The Cone Chair works beautifully in living rooms, studies or reading corners, as well as in hotel lobbies or lounge spaces. The price is valid for the upholstery in Hola fabric, if you are interested in a different option, please do not hesitate to contact us.
