The Wire VP17 coffee table by &Tradition expands designer Verner Panton’s iconic Wire collection, which reflects his penchant for geometric shapes, repeating patterns, and the use of wire. The original design was created in 1981 alongside the Wire Stool, but it did not go into mass production until later. The distinctive construction made of polished steel wire appears light and airy, while the concentric circles on the tabletop create a striking graphic effect when viewed from above.
The table’s height was designed with contemporary sofas in mind, making it a perfect fit for living rooms and lounge areas. The Wire VP17 side table features a round top made of tempered clear glass, which preserves the unique look of the wire frame whilst providing a convenient surface for placing items.
