Sami Kallio grew up in Sweden, where he graduated from the Gothenburg School of Design and Crafts. He combines his deep understanding of woodmaking with artistic processing and modern methods. He also looks at the design from the current perspective. He combines traditional shapes with industrial elements and modern details. Therefore he strives for a balance between the past and the present, between the emphasis on human needs and machine production.
