Designed in 1958 by legendary Danish designer Poul Henningsen, the PH Artichoke pendant lamp has been one of the most iconic fixtures in the world of design since its creation. Its distinctive artichoke-like silhouette was created as a bold light installation for the modernist Langelinie Pavilion in Copenhagen and remains to this day a symbol of the timeless combination of technical precision and aesthetic magnificence.
The structure, made up of 72 metal "leaves" arranged in twelve precise rows, ensures even, completely non-dazzling illumination regardless of the angle of view. The light is directed both inside and outside, creating a soft, natural glow that not only brightens the space but also uplifts it.
PH Artichoke stands out as a solitary element in a dining room, living room or entrance hall - and is just as impressive in public spaces, galleries or hotel lobbies, where a design lamp becomes an architectural feature. Thanks to the 4 metre long fabric cable, the lamp can also be easily positioned in higher rooms.
As standard we offer a variant with the classic E27 socket, but on request we can also prepare an individual quotation for an LED version with integrated light source.
