In his youth he was influenced by the skateboard culture and graffiti artists. Which is still evident in his work. After studying in Madrid and Paris, he began to work with the well-known creator of paintings, Olivier Toscani.
In 2001, he founded Hayon Studio and has been working for a number of important clients, such as Fritz Hansen and & Tradition. He also designed complex interiors for major hotels, restaurants, museums and shops around the world. Hayon Studio's creative base is in Valencia, Spain, with offices in Barcelona and Trevis in Italy.
Jamie Hayon's work regularly appears in the most prestigious art and design publications around the world. He has won a number of awards, including several Elle Decoration International Design Awards, which have been included in Wallpaper Magazine's "Top 100" list. Jamie Hayon has been named one of the most influential designers of the last decade.
Hayon is famous for his playfulness, which is also imprinted in his designs. On the DesignVille website, you can choose from several types of Elefy chairs from the &Tradition brand. As the name suggests, Elefy design is inspired by elephants. The shell of the seat is supposed to resemble their large ears.
