The Ishi coffee table, named after the Japanese word for stone, is inspired by natural rock formations and their quiet, steady presence. Its organic, cube-like shape with subtle irregularities appears as though shaped by time and the elements, bringing a sense of harmony and elegance into the interior.
The table is crafted by blowing molten glass into a mould, followed by careful hand-finishing. This process creates small air bubbles, tonal variations and organic irregularities that are characteristic of handcrafted glass. The inner surface of the glass is lightly coloured to achieve a deep, even tone while preserving the material’s natural translucency.
