The Carrie lamp was inspired by the Danish hygge lifestyle, which is associated with the popularity of creating a cosy atmosphere especially during the long Nordic winters. When creating the lamp, the idea behind the design studio Norm Architects was to pay homage to hygge in the context of modern design and to design a lightweight and portable lamp that can be used on a desk or bedside table.
The Carrie portable lamp features three-step dimming and a battery life of approximately 10 hours at full brightness. It is available in several other colour options or in a version without the leather covered cord on the handle.
