The thin, delicate shell is pushed nearly to the limits of the material’s capabilities, while its pronounced curve provides the necessary stability and flexibility, all while creating an interesting interplay of light and shadow. The shell is made of molded veneer with a beech core and a surface layer of oak veneer. The wooden character continues through to the base, whose tapered legs combine a beech veneer core with an outer layer of oak veneer.
