Orbital pendant lamps are inspired by the Solar System. The round shape of the lampshade is reminiscent of the trajectories of planets and other celestial bodies rotating around the Sun. This is embodied by the light source in the centre of the lamp. The shape also follows the basic principle of glass blowing: where a lens is formed in the middle that distorts the surrounding Space, a metaphor for the distortion of space-time in the Universe.
