Orbital pendant lamps are inspired by the solar system. The round shape of the shade is reminiscent of the trajectories of planets and other celestial bodies rotating around the sun. This is embodied by the light source in the centre of the lamp. The shape also follows the basic principle of glass blowing, where a lens is formed in the middle that distorts the surrounding space, a metaphor for the distortion of space-time in the Universe.
The Orbital lamp is composed of hand-blown glass lenses that are connected by a metal mount. The fitting is available in shades silver and patina gold. If you are interested in patina gold, please specify this in the order notes.
The light is hand-blown without the use of a mould, so the colour intensity and colour gradient may vary slightly from piece to piece.
