Spanning 280 m², the interior—inspired by Japanese minimalism—subtly blurs the lines between a professional healthcare facility and a cozy, almost home-like environment. The new space supports the daily work of healthcare professionals while also helping patients feel calm and safe during their visits.

An ideal balance of light and privacy
The layout thoughtfully combines a conference room, one large office, and eight smaller offices. Instead of the classic division using solid walls, Šenekel Architects opted for a more subtle approach—they separated the individual spaces with acoustic partitions featuring a delicate gradient print that regulates the degree of transparency.
This motif loosely references traditional Japanese rice-paper walls while also meeting the demands of a modern office environment. The acoustic partitions ensure the necessary privacy during consultations without disrupting the interior’s sense of openness. Daylight can thus flow freely throughout the space, emphasizing its calm and airy atmosphere.

The theme of semi-transparency is also reflected in the choice of lighting. A striking feature of the interior, for example, are the Strand pendant lights by Muuto, whose shades made of spray-coated cocoon resin gently diffuse the light and create a soft ambient atmosphere. With their material expression and lighting character, they naturally complement the interior concept inspired by Japanese minimalism.

Wood as the Interior’s Central Theme and High-Quality Seating
Oak wood paneling permeates the entire interior, creating a unifying visual thread that naturally guides visitors through the space. Here, wood serves more than just an aesthetic function—it becomes a central architectural motif that infuses the space with tranquility, naturalness, and a sense of home.

The architects devoted the same care to the selection of furnishings. The workspaces feature ergonomic ID Trim chairs from Vitra, which support comfort during daily work, and lightweight EVO-C cantilever chairs from the same brand, whose emphasis on comfort and sustainability naturally aligns with the philosophy of the entire interior.

The heart of the interior is a shared relaxation area with a library and kitchenette—a space for gatherings, informal conversations, and moments of rest. Its relaxed atmosphere is enhanced by Era lounge chairs from Normann Copenhagen, while the centerpiece of the space is a solid oak table from Javorina. These are complemented by Mynt PlyWood chairs from Vitra, featuring oak seats and backrests. Thanks to an innovative mechanism that naturally adapts to the body’s movements, they offer a high level of comfort during work and group meetings.

The relaxation area flows seamlessly onto an outdoor terrace facing a peaceful green atrium. The direct connection to the outdoors enhances the interior’s overall atmosphere, which is based on tranquility, natural light, and contact with nature. The terrace is complemented by olive-green Palissade lounge sets, whose timeless design naturally aligns with the architectural concept and offers a pleasant setting for relaxation and informal gatherings.
