The Amoebe chairs are one of Verner Panton's iconic designs, created in the early 1970s as part of the experimental installation Vision II. This project pushed the boundaries of housing at the time and brought a new perspective on space, colour and the perception of furniture itself.
Amoebe still draws on this atmosphere today. It acts as a soft, organically shaped object that combines seating with a free, almost sculptural form. The flowing lines of the seat and backrest create a whole that feels relaxed and elegant. In the Highback variant, the shape is complemented by a higher backrest that curves over the head, offering a greater sense of privacy and acoustic peace.
The chairs are made up of a laminated frame with polyurethane foam padding, which ensures comfortable seating while maintaining their characteristic soft silhouette. Upholstery in different fabrics enhances the tactile and visual impression and allows adaptation to different types of interiors.
Amoebe chairs can be used in living areas, relaxation zones and public interiors, where they function as comfortable lounge seating as well as a distinctive design element.
