The lamp is part of the Nelson Bubble Lamp series, designed by American industrial designer George Nelson in 1947. The Cigar Crisscross model has an elongated cigarette shape enriched with cross detail. The lamp casts a soft, even light.

The body of the shade is made of steel wire, which is coated with a translucent plastic polymer.

The Nelson Bubble Lamp collection offers several sizes as well as designs.
