Lex Pott founded his own studio in 2009. Already at that time, his work had a clear direction. He graduated in the same year at the Design Academy Eindhoven, including wooden shelves and a large stone table into his thesis project. These materials, together with metal, remain fundamental for his work, which is specific to the search for their various qualities and limits.
In 2013, Pott began a long-term cooperation with the Danish brand HAY. He designed, among other things, a collection of Perforated Tray for the brand. The aluminium trays are characterized by a simple shape and tiny circular holes, which give a texture to the material. Other successful partnerships include working for another Danish brand, &Tradition.
By playing with materials and combining design with art, objects including furniture, decorations, textiles and functional household accessories are created by this Dutch designer.
