The duo of designers founded the Million studio with the intention of creating iconic products from quality materials that will stand out and will be easily combined with other timeless pieces. Both respect the greats of the tradition of Scandinavian design, whose designs are still present today. So they came up with the idea of placing Million products among them. Hence the name of the brand – it expresses a large number of combinations in individuals interiors.
All furniture and lamps designed by designers Kajus and Jakobsen are manufactured in Denmark or southern Sweden. They have very specific requirements especially for finishing touches, so they need to see the results themsleves. That is also why they focus on quality, instead of quantity, in their work.
With respect to history, they created, for example, a collection of Mies tables, which is based on the philosophy of functionalism and the legacy of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. Another example of their design and aesthetics are Arise chairs and benches or lamps from the Voyage collection.
