The Bank Pendant is inspired by the original 1920s lighting that the design duo Norm Architects came across on one of their trips to New York. The retro crescent-shaped lighting that caught their eye was mainly used in libraries, school classrooms, kitchens and courtrooms during the Art Deco era, giving it the name ‘schoolhouse lights’.
Norm Architects modernized the original shape, toning down the ornamentation and creating two versions of the chandelier - in opal and clear glass - with a black socket. The Bank Pendant provides soft lighting that doesn't dazzle. Like its inspiration from the 1920s, Bank Pendant is suitable for bistros or offices as well as the home. It serves mainly for spot lighting or as ambient lighting.
