Vitra's Resting Animals collection is the result of a research project by Front Studio. The duo of designers wanted to interview randomly selected people to identify the objects in their lives that are most emotional and truly meaningful to them. Most of the responses included animal creatures.
The collection comes with a series of friends that create a welcoming companionship in the home. The presence of sleeping animals doesn't just make an impact visually. It also creates a feeling of contentment and a pleasant well-being. The sight of animals releases hormones into the body that induce a sense of calm.
